Learning, Sharing, and Growing Together

--

My name is Sakina Banu, and I live in Bombay Hotel, New Facial Nagar. I was part of the adolescent girl’s health club, where I learned so much that has helped me in my life. The knowledge I gained from Sanchetana has been incredibly useful, and I want to share this with other women. I believe that if we teach each other, we can all benefit. I’m also trying to pass on what I’ve learned to the children around me, so they can benefit in the future too.

I feel strongly that women and girls should come forward to educate one another. When we share what we know, we grow together. I also think it would be great if someone could come to teach our brothers, husbands, and children, so they too can learn. What we’ve learned from Sanchetana has made me believe that it can shape a better future for our children. We do our best to teach our children, but it’s also important for the men in our lives to understand these things. Only then we can truly move forward together.

For women’s health issues, like menstrual problems or white discharge, I think it’s really important to go to a government hospital and get proper treatment as soon as possible. The hospitals are a huge help because they provide free treatment. By taking care of our health, we can also teach our children how to handle these things properly.
