Overcoming Barriers Through Perseverance and Support
Shah Ariba Tahir Ali, residing in Bombay Hotel, Ahmedabad, faced significant challenges after discontinuing her education in the 7th grade due to covid- 19. Her father’s accident, coupled with the post-lockdown period, forced her to stay home for two additional years. During this time, she learned mehndi art from Sanchetna vocational training center. She formed strong bonds with the sanchetana team, who are motivated her to resume her education despite financial and certification barriers. With their support, she obtained her 5th and 7th-grade certificates, completed her 10th-grade studies with evening school, and succeeded in her board exams. Ariba’s determination, combined with Sanchetna’s guidance, has set her on a path toward a nursing career. Her story reflects the profound impact of education and mentorship, showcasing her resilience and newfound confidence. “Girls are not weak,” she asserts, embodying her journey of empowerment and hope for a brighter future.
