SANCHETANA: A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR WOMEN AND ADOLESCENT GIRLS TO SPEAK THEIR MINDS AND FIND THEIR PATH

--

Our ancestors taught us that a community-based approach is significant for civil society development. The traditional community-building technique is centered on a culture that values “giving” and “sharing” as core values, with the clear aim of creating a harmonious environment in which the household can flourish through being supported by a strong and loving community.

At Sanchetana, we aim to represent that community. We engage people in a multitude of stimulating and inspiring activities, thus establishing a solid network that takes after our traditional joint-family structure. Like a friend, our team leads the girls attending the clubs and joining the activities, helping them navigate life and build meaningful relationships.

Our activities are designed to provide them with all the information and knowledge required for young women to properly get in touch with their physical and emotional health.

Moreover, we aim at creating an environment in which they can feel secure enough to openly speak their minds. During our sessions, girls and women are given a break from their routine. They have the opportunity to dive into new exciting experiences that feed their curiosity and broaden their horizons, thus discovering new interests and sides of themselves.

We believe that sometimes all people need is a helping hand. Therefore, our team’s goal is to be that support system for young women and introduce them to new horizons. Our activities and classes aim to educate young women in an environment free from any superstition, and to reinforce the importance of knowledge-based on scientifically proven concepts, to be passed on to the coming generations.
